I have a serious weakness for horrific 80s cheese like this. The Sagal twins! Michelle Pfeiffer! Doris from Fame! Maxwell motherfucking Caulfield! ("Oh, Rexy, you're so sexy...") Deathless lyrics like "Let's bowl/let's bowl/let's rock-n-roll" and my personal favorite, "Let's do it for our country/our country wants us to."

I defy any one of you to not dance around your living room to "Cool Rider", which is totally starting right now.

Looking up the movie on IMDB, you wouldn't believe so many award nominees started out in this piece of glorious crap. Or that Judy Garland's lesser known daughter would turn up. Or that the chick playing her little sister is the voice of Bobby Hill. Or why I inexplicably love the whole thing so much. Other movies falling into this category include Doctor Detroit, Joe Dirt, and The Pirate Movie, though only that last one has the same type of cheesetastic musical numbers, the Players Ball in Doctor Detroit notwithstanding.

I'm going to have to get a Merchant-Ivory film or something from the library in order to make up for this, aren't I?
