To soothe my football-troubled soul, I have Torchwood cranking on BBCA OnDemand and Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade sitting nearby, a reward for getting the kitchen and dining room cleared up after dinner, rather than waiting for the next day (as I sometimes do when really exhausted). Even the living room is fairly tidy, with the glaring exception of the Dora tent taking up valuable floor real estate. It's a teeny living room, and the books stay here, so if the floor is somewhat clear than it counts as clean. Piles of books lying about the place are homey, and that's all there is to it.

Causes an issue when looking for a clear spot to put a drink out of the reach of grabby little hands, but what the hell, nothing's perfect.
